Conservation Meeting July 1st, Reservations needed!

Join Licking County producers for an evening of dinner and conservation field presentations on July 1, 2014, starting at 6:00 p.m. for dinner at Hartford Fair Natural Resources Area and then on to Clever Farms, Inc. at 7:00 p.m. for field presentation of conservation practices as well as comments from Ohio State Extension Specialist Greg LaBarge.  Greg will be discussing the latest information concerning recently passed Ohio Senate Bill 150 which regulates on-farm nutrient application. Quick updates on conservation programs offered by the Licking County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Farm Service Agency (FSA) will be presented. 

The dinner menu will include pulled pork, smoked turkey, cheesy potatoes, Cole slaw and a brownie from 62 BBQ at a cost of $13.00 per person.  Call Ohio State Extension at 740-670-5315 to register for dinner no later than June 25, 2014.
