Pasture Management and Livestock Disaster Programs Meeting When: Tuesday, July 1, 2014 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm Where: Belle Plaine Community Center 1509 5th Ave Belle Plaine, Iowa Denise Schwab, ISU Extension Livestock Specialist, will talk about Research-based Pasture Management Practices Anna Boecker and Patrick Derdzinski, County Executive Directors for Tama and Benton County USDA Farm Service Agency, will talk about the Livestock Disaster Programs from the 2014 Farm Bill: Livestock Forage Disaster Program (LFP) Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP) and Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees and Farm-Raised Fish Program (ELAP) These programs are retroactive back to October 1, 2011 and due to the drought Tama County suffered in 2012 and 2013, livestock producers in Tama County are eligible to receive payments for those years.
