Walthall County FSA Election Underway - Accepting Nomination Petitions June 15 thru August 1

Walthall County Executive Director, Todd D. Bullock, announces that the Walthall County Farm Service Agency Office has begun accepting nomination petitions for eligible candidates in  LAA-2  (local  administrative area two)  which comprise the old supervisor districts two and four and includes the Sartinville, Salem, and Tylertown communities in Walthall County  to serve on the local Farm Service Agency (FSA) County Committee.   The nomination period opend June 15 and ends at the close of business on August 1.

"I encourage producers to take an active part in their local FSA County Committee and make a difference," said Bullock.  "FSA County Committees have an important role in the decision making process for commodity price support loans and payments, conservation and disaster programs and other important agricultural issues in their farming community."

The 2014  Committee Election takes place in Local Administrative Area (LAA) 2 and includes most areas in the County in the old supervisor districts two and four.  A detailed map of the boundaries of LAA 2 is available in the Walthall County Farm Service Agency Office in Tylertown.
