2014 FSA COUNTY COMMITTEE ELECTION – LAA-1 The nomination period for the 2014 COC elections began June 15th. This time allows farmers and ranchers to select themselves or others as candidates for election to serve on the local county committee and help make important agricultural decisions. Members of the committee deliver FSA farm programs at the local level and make decisions needed to administer the programs in their offices. Nominations for election for the COC must be completed on form FSA-669A (English or Spanish). Contact your local FSA Service Center Office to pick up a form. The nomination period runs through August 1st. The COC election will be conducted later in the fall. For more information please click here. The area nominations are being sought for LAA-1 in Webster County which consists of the townships of Harmony, Glenwood, Potsdam, Oak Creek, and Stillwater. A COC election informational meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Webster County FSA Office at 1:00 p.m. If you are interested in learning about the election process and producer eligibility to hold office, please plan to attend. Livestock Forage Program (LFP) LFP provides compensation to eligible livestock producers who have suffered grazing losses due to drought in Webster County. The program is retroactive to cover eligible losses for 2012 and 2013. If you have not signed up, please contact the Webster County FSA office for an appointment. Questions?
