We are now accepting applications for the U.S. Department of State 2015 Summer Student Internship Program (unpaid).

This program offers U.S. citizen undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to participate in 10-week, unpaid internships that provide intensive educational and professional experience within the environment of America's principle foreign affairs agency.

The unpaid internships are available at many of the over 270 U.S. embassies, consulates and missions to international organizations around the world, as well as at the Department of State in Washington, D.C. and other locations throughout the U.S. Participants gain first-hand, hands-on experience, and learn the realities of working in – and with – Foreign and Civil Service professionals who are at the forefront of America's diplomatic efforts.

As an unpaid intern, you may have the opportunity to:

Participate in meetings with senior level U.S. government or foreign government officials;
Draft, edit, or contribute to cables, reports, communications, talking points, or other materials used by policy makers in furthering U.S. foreign policy objectives;
Help organize and support events, including international and/or multi-lateral meetings and conferences on critical global issues;
Contribute to the management and administration of the Department of State and America's foreign policy; and
Engage directly with U.S. or foreign audiences to promote U.S. foreign policy and improve understanding of U.S. culture and society.

So consider spending your Summer 2015 with the U.S. Department of State, witnessing and participating in the formulation and implementation of U.S. foreign policy, working closely with the U.S. diplomats and civil servants who carry out America's foreign policy initiatives. You'll not only have an experience of a lifetime, you may even earn educational credit.*

The Art Of The Stretch System Is To Get The Stretch The Same Consistency As The Current To Ride In So The Rider Is In Balance With The River. This Is A Lot Less Strain On The Body. It Also Makes For A Smooth Even Pull Up River With No Jerks Or Sudden Stops. Since Every Riding Spot Is Different The Professional Rider Has Different Length Segments To Match Different Spots. Overall This One Is Shaped Like An Otter However This One Does Have A Tendency To Get Caught In A Dive If The Rider's Weight Is Not Kept On The Back End To Prevent The Current From Taking The Nose To The Bottom So The Rider Must Adjust When Caught In a Dive. Don't Just Let It Go. You Will Just Have To swim To The bottom To Get It Anyway. You Might As Well Adjust Right Then And There And Put Weight On The Back End Of The Board While Your Exploring Underneath The River. It Does Have A Split Tail On The Rear Which Makes For Nice Rail To Rail Banking. It Also Has The Inverted Center So You Can Carry It Under Your Arm Like A SurfBoard With The Same Length As A3.

One Of The Things I Love About This Shape Is The Diversity Of Tricks It Allows. A Skilled Rider Can Do Any Trick On Any Shape Granted, But Some Tricks As A Shaper Has A Certain Shape In Mind, Just Work Better For Those Tricks. That Is Why A Good Shaper Rides The Boards They Make And Visualizes The Moves They Will Do Within The Movement And Bodily Timing With The Rapids Before They Make The Shape They Ride And So This Is The One That This Rider Can Do The Most Tricks Under The Water, On The Water And Above The Water With To Begin With, And Then Once The Tricks Are Mastered They Can Be Done On Any Board.
